Ubiquiti F-POE (FiberPoE – Gen 1) Outdoor Fibre-to-PoE Converter
The Ubiquiti F-POE is a first-generation FiberPoE device designed to extend network connectivity over long distances using fibre optic cable while delivering Power over Ethernet (PoE) to compatible remote devices.
It is commonly used in professional networking installations where Ethernet runs are too long, or where electrical isolation is required for improved reliability and protection.
This unit converts fibre (via SFP) into Ethernet while simultaneously injecting DC power onto the Ethernet line for passive PoE devices. It is widely used in outdoor and infrastructure deployments such as wireless links, remote access points, and surveillance systems.
Unlike standard PoE injectors, the F-POE is designed as a fibre-to-Ethernet bridge with integrated PoE delivery, making it suitable for more advanced network topologies where long-distance fibre backhaul is required.
Important Notes
This is the original Ubiquiti F-POE (Gen 1 model), not the newer Gen 2 version. It requires an external DC power source and SFP module to operate. It is designed for professional network deployments and is not a basic
PoE injector.
